Before you install

A Shopify marketplace integration is an app that connects your Shopify store to a marketplace like eBay, Etsy or Amazon, so the same products can be sold in both places without being maintained twice. A good one handles product sync, inventory sync and price sync automatically, and brings marketplace orders into Shopify so you fulfill everything from one admin. That's marketplace automation: your catalog lives in Shopify, and the integration keeps each channel in step with it.

Sync runs automatically once products are linked. How fast an update lands depends on the marketplace's own API — eBay, Etsy and Amazon all queue and rate-limit incoming changes. We won't promise instant updates, because that's a promise the marketplace controls, not us. In practice most changes land within minutes.

One per marketplace. If you sell on eBay and Etsy, install both — they run side by side and don't conflict. The Amazon app is an importer: it brings your Seller Central catalog into Shopify, but it doesn't push Shopify products out to Amazon.

It helps, but it isn't required. The apps link products automatically by SKU where they match. Where they don't, you can link items manually and choose which fields your Shopify store is allowed to overwrite.

Yes. Apply a markup or discount as a fixed amount or a percentage when products go out, so marketplace fees don't eat your margin. Your Shopify base price doesn't change.
